Champion Modular / New Era Building Systems at 451 Southern Ave Strattanville, PA is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team and perform quality work on the production line to build manufactured housing. The entry level rate for this position is $11/hr with minimal skill and experience, but is negotiable for a candidate with additional skills and experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE WORKER

As a Maintenance Worker, every day is a new adventure. You come to work armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Your willingness to provide the very best support to the Production line and facility will be key to this location's success. Because of your consistent, clear communication, your team is able to keep the facility running as a finely oiled machine to achieve Production goals. By being responsive, trouble shooting, and preventative measures, you are able to safely and expertly perform quality work in order to support Production.

You keep work areas clean and well-maintained so that when there is a problem, you can make repairs. You love that you get to perform a wide range of duties throughout your day and never fail to recognize your contribution to the success of Production while always keeping safety as a priority. Every day is an adventure because no two days are the same in this exciting, fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired, but not required. Do you have a drive to make things run efficiently? Are you attentive to safety? WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for this position is 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Schedule may vary depending on working both with and around, production needs and overtime. This being the case some over time will be necessary.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

 Summary Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Visually inspects, tests, and repairs machinery, equipment, and the facility.

  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled time lines.
  • Co-ordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their schedule time lines.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

 Education and/or Experience                                                   

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
