FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Manages product costing and margin analysis for several brands of manufactured houses including options. Determines costing impact of product modifications and customizations. Provides costing estimates and maintains master model and option price files for quotation purposes of new business. Manages home configuration and standard costing systems.

Summary Performs multiple tasks within the accounting department by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reconciles and integrates information between the TMS and ERP systems and maintains related files.
  • Processes and reconciles data between the TMS system and EFS and maintains related files.
  • Maintains master records on the EFS website.
  • Receives invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, credit memos, etc. from vendors.
  • Prepares and posts accounts payable checks and maintains all related files.
  • Voids and/or reissues checks that are stale, lost, etc.
  • Communicates with staff on driver advance collections and maintains related files
  • Maintains trailer leases and ensures collections of driver payments with terminals.
  • Communicates with vendors for new, canceled, or modified services or discrepencies.
  • Receives and places office supply orders.
  • Assists with Certificate of Insurance requests
  • Handles miscellaneous account reconciliations.
  • Assists in weekly and monthly closings.

Education and/or Experience

2 yr accounting degree; or High School degree or G.E.D. with six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
